GENERAL: The Aellyn are one of the many elven clans who have since antiquity traced their lineage in a matriarchal fashion. As a society, their focus is entirely upon magic and its study, and the better families all have more powerful magical capabilities. The aellyn matrons, the oldest surviving female leaders of the Aellyn, have for ages found, sought, and taught the drabwurld's oracle.
Only Aellyn men from lesser families do the clan's work above ground and throughout the drabwurld, and are necessarily secretive about the hidden location of their kingdom. In addition to being wise to strange lore found nowhere else in Allaidh Darach, they are generally expert poisoners and herbalists. Outright violence is considered unclean to Aellyn, who are far more likely to devise long-term traps and situations by which enemies doom themselves.
RELIGION: In general, the Hart has been universally worshipped by all elven clans; laralae would know that in ancient legendariums, it's said that ancient elves and vampir didn't have their unique racial differences and actually comprised one people, before strife and devotion to either the Hart or the Shuck sundered them. This is largely considered *legend*, however.
The people of the disparate clans might worship a dozen lesser gods; the Orminairi clan worshipping gods of the hunt or the sky, the Galatath gods of creativity and family ties, and so forth. Among those she might know to be most popular would be the White Hart (for obvious reasons), the World-Tree, the Sun, and the Hunter.
As the Aellyn themselves are among the most magically-inclined, and many of their eldest matrons the guides of the Seven-Star Oracle, she herself would be aware that the current Age is ending, and that according to the Aellyn, the calendar will soon turn over into the Age of the Godswar, the last years of Allaidh Darach's life, which are purportedly to be marked by increasing chaos and breakdown of cycles and patterns as all gods begin warring, driven to madness by the growing power of the Void.
HART: The Hart is one of the largest figures in Elven mythology, and was one of the first Powers which awoke when the Gem first formed! It was he who created all life, and guards it closely. A humble and giving spirit, the Hart allows himself to be slain every winter as a sacrifice to the Sun, that summer, warmth, and life all return to the world.
The fact that all this is happening in the world is essentially a part of the drabwurld's ancient lore, a herald of the end days. The Hart is the meeker brother often bullied by his brother, who will now and then allow spirits to escape from Death, thereby encroaching upon the Hart's domain and granting his own forms of 'life' without regard to all the Hart had made.
